My poetry my tango and latin dancing and my poetic thoughs express some of my inner sentiments. What I write below is much too analytical and superficial to fully convey who I am.

...but here it is

I am a product of many cultures - the world. For example, my food choices are American (North American, Latin American, Southern, Soul Food, etc.) Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Arabic, Hispanic, Korean, French, German, Scandinavian, Health, etc, etc, etc.

I grew up in a cooking and restauranteur family. I started cooking at an early age. I like to create in the kitchen and to make up new recipes. ...and Mom taught me to do the dishes, pots, pans ...as well as to iron and to sew.

I enjoy dancing the dances of many cultures ...Salsa, Rumba, Cha Cha, Merengue, Cumbia, Argentine Tango, Swing, Hip Hop and Ballroom. In addition I teach 8 Latin dances one or two days per week.

I like movies but I am way behind on my movie going. I need someone to go with me to help me catch up. I will buy you popcorn ...a big one ...and then sneak handfuls when you're not paying attention. I truthfully like artfilms, foreign, "chick flicks" :-), as well as the Terminator, Matrix, Star Wars, Alien and Saving Private Ryan types. I like films with Jack Nicholson, Meg Ryan, Sigourney Weaver, Tom Hanks, Denzell Washington, Halle Berry, Antonio Banderas, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, Nicolas Cage, Glen Close, John Travolta, Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Kim Bassinger, Gena Davis, Sandra Bulluck, Sean Conery, Morgan Freeman, Harrison Ford, Lawrence Fishburn, Clint Eastwood, Bruce Willis, Michael Caine, Donald Sutherland, Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, Rodney Dangerfield ...sorry I was getting carried away.

I especially like rootbeer floats on a hot summer day, plain vanilla ice cream, sugar cookies like my grandma made, apple, cherry and sweet potato pies. ...and cherry cheese cake ...even though I don't do desserts that often.

I also would like to find more time for cultural events like the ballet, symphony, opera musicals and theatre. Let's go together. I love languages and the related cultures. I speak a lot of Swedish, some French, English of course and phases in Spanish and German. As you know I write love poems when inspired. One of my favorite poets is Rober Frost.

I was an egghead/Valedictorian, etc ...in my early school years yet I won a wrestling championship, played football, ran track ...was student government president, French club president, student newspaper editor, etc.

I did undergraduate studies at Delaware State College and have also studied at East Carolina Extention in North Carolina, Emory University in Atlanta (pre-med), Georgia, San Francisco City College, San Jose State University in California, West Valley College in Sunneyvale, California, Mission College in California, etc.

I received a meritorious promotion from Private to Private First Class right out of Marine Corp boot camp. I then was promoted to Lance Corporal and later to Corporal all within the first 11 months of my enlistment in the Marine Corps. Then I went into the officer's program. I graduated from Officer's Candidate School (where Marine Corps Officers are trained) as Honor Man. I was commissioned a Second Lieutenant. I went to Navy/Marine Corp Flight School in Pensacola, Florida although I later dropped out and became an infanty officer. I was promoted to First Lietenant and later to Captain. I earned numerous service and combat medals and received an Honorable Discharge when I left the Corps.

I'm in shape/athletic but not a jock.I like jogging distance, snow skiing and have done water skiing and canoeing. I sailed a bit in the San Franscisco Bay. I have also jumped out of a perfectly good airplane at 3,000 feet for fun. Yes, luckily I had a parachute on.

I have traveled in Paris, Sidney, Australia, Okinawa, Hong Kong, S.E. Asia, Mexico, St. Thomas of the Virgin Islands, Curacao, San Juan, PR, Panama, most of the East Coast/West Coast/Central States of the USA.

I explore friendships with people of different cultures. I insist on relationships or friends in different races and nationalities. My attitude about life, love, relationships and opportunity is always positive. I believe and hope that there is a "Consciousness" greater than mankind ...and that miracles do happen. I feel good about myself, my experiences in life and my intelligence. I am confident but am not arrogant - have learned to listen and empathize in relationships.

I am a self employed Internet Services provider/Entrepreneur owner of 1stGMC.NET. I am driven to be very successful. I am usually an over achiever but to be truthful it has been a battle with the economy over the last few years so I have not made the progress that I am capable of. You can stop reading right here if that is all that matters to you. I seem to be more and more drawn to writing and will soon try to find the time to study and begin writing fiction, non-fiction and screen plays. I feel like I have a couple mystery books, at least one non-fiction and numerous screen plays in me - which of course will become block buster movies.;-(

I have intentionally waited for a long term relationship so that when I choose and am chosen back I now have the desire to commit, the emotional stability and the communication skills to sustain a good relationship to whatever mutual conclusion we decide. I sound immodest by writing all this yet I'm down to earth but just want to increase my odds of attracting friends who will feel that they like who I am.
